Famous for the almost everlasting sun in the summer, Alaska's sun illuminates the sky late into the night. When the sun does decide to go down for a few short hours, its descent is magnificent.
The lupines and the sidewalk look as if they are about to catch on fire because the sun's colors are so intense.
This photo was taken in Homer, Alaska, where the Lupines thrive during the month of July.

Beautiful Halibut Cove
Throughout my trip to
Alaska I witnessed many different aspects of the state. From watching the rain
pelt the puddle-filled ground to seeing parts of the sun’s rays hit the indigo water in
Halibut Cove, we saw a wide array of what Mother Nature has to offer.
Now it may be because of the sun or maybe the scenery, that Halibut Cove was my absolute favorite part of my adventure through the Last
Frontier.
The views of the majestic mountains, towering trees and
gleaming water were all so breathtaking.

Boat Graveyard
While on a summer trip to Alaska, we made a stop in Homer and came across this boat graveyard. After driving by it multiple times I insisted that we stop at the side of the road and explore a little. It was late at night, but the light was absolutely perfect.
This is what I came across.
This is what I came across.
Welcome!
Ahh...the first post to a new blog. The "welcome to my blog" post. Well, welcome! For those who have stumbled across this, my blog will be a place full of pictures that may either capture peace and serenity, an adventure, or whatever else seems to cross my path.
Enjoy!
